Our Event Mission:
With community and integrity at the forefront, we aim to empower each other with wisdom, knowledge, connection, and practical skills that are rooted in sovereignty, kindness, honesty, nature, and self responsibility. We do this to remember who we are, so we are as adaptable and resilient as can be in the midst of the challenges of our times, and to keep some good old ways alive and thriving!
I love the connections; building friendships, and networking. I love the collaborative sharing of skills and knowledge. Born Free has inspired almost every aspect of our life. Health, food, DIY confidence, better ways of doing things, contacts, communication, the way we shop, etc

2026 Workshops

Ben is a husband of nearly 9 years to Tessa, and a dad to three children. His family lives in a small town 40 minutes from Saskatoon in an area known as the ‘Bible Belt of Saskatchewan’. He has felt pulled towards reading the Bible and learning about Jesus since Covid, and he and his wife were baptized in May 2024. Ben loves to learn from a variety of pastors online and in person, and has a special interest in learning to be a biblical man, husband and father.
Ben loves to study the Bible, verify Bible stories and talk about common misconceptions around Jesus.
Bring your curiosity, questions, and knowledge about Jesus and join us in conversation.

Breaking the Pattern: The Hidden Mechanics Behind Family Dynamics, Over‑Functioning, and Emotional Exhaustion
Most people don’t repeat their family patterns because they’re broken — they repeat them because their nervous system is running an old survival strategy. Collapse, over‑functioning, emotional absorption… these aren’t personality traits. They’re mechanics.
In this workshop, Embodiment Coach and Relational Systems Architect Tillie Dyck will show you the exact architecture underneath your patterns — where they came from, how they live in your body, and how to interrupt them with clarity instead of overwhelm.
You’ll map your dominant pattern, identify your collapse point, learn a physical interrupt tool, and step into a more coherent version of yourself.
If you’re ready to stop carrying what isn’t yours and start living from your true identity, this session will change everything.

Laughter...
I am a dad, a teacher, and a forever student of life on a journey to inspire more joy, unity, and empowerment into the hearts of everyone I possibly can. I am grateful to be able to find ways to help myself and others heal through laughter, nature, and play every day. I love learning and exploring the natural world while teaching students about their inner nature and how to live in harmony with the two.
Let’s start off Saturday morning with some laughter.
Nature Camp...
I wish I had this camp when I was younger! A fun kids empowerment camp with a focus on emotional intelligence, self-regulation, and inner confidence. In this camp, you will learn more about your inner nature, the nature around you, and maybe a survival skill or two.
About me: I love being outside. I have Forest School experience guiding land based nature immersed programs. I am adamant that the younger generations need to get outside and connect with nature more frequently for so many reasons. My hope is for more people to experience the healing power of being in nature, to have more play in their day and to learn some tools to empower their inner awareness. I want people to do more things that get them to forget to check their phone. Less screen time, more nature scene time. I believe NDD (Nature Deficit Disorder) is affecting us all. I am here to inspire others to connect with the nature around them and their own inner nature.

Michelle Spray is a Saskatchewan-based practitioner trained in orthomolecular medicine, biofeedback, and HTMA. She is a mother of five whose journey into natural health began the way many of the deepest callings do - through crisis. When her son was just one year old, his vaccine injury cracked open an entirely different world for her, one that ultimately saved her whole family. That moment sent her on a deep dive that never stopped. Over the past 13 years she has built her education and credentials around one core belief: the body has an extraordinary ability to heal when given what it needs and when interference is removed. She has watched that truth play out in her own family, including her son’s complete recovery.
Through Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, mineral balancing, natural detoxification, nervous system support, and biofeedback, Michelle helps clients uncover the root causes behind chronic symptoms, emotional dysregulation, hormonal imbalance, and fatigue - the things that conventional medicine too often addresses with band-aid solutions.
In her workshop, Michelle will walk you through how mineral patterns, stress, and hidden toxicity tell a story in the body that symptoms alone never could - and what you can actually do about it.

Tyler Chiliak (AKA The Crackpot Farmer) is a young farmer from east Central Alberta.
Tyler gets a lot of experience in repairs and maintenance on the family farm, and will be sharing how almost anyone can learn to service and repair almost anything. He will explain such things as electricity, water systems, hydraulics, engines, and will be happy to take questions. Righty tighty lefty loosy!
Tyler will also be addressing the issues of propaganda in today's relevance, and how we can learn to discern what is truth and what is twisted.

For most of her working years, Carol focused on providing various holistic woman’s health, fertility, pre & post natal/childbirth support services and homeopathic care. In 2020 a number of life changing events resulting in her deciding to retire. This gave her the time to start down a the path of exploring sovereignty and how our freedom was merely an illusion. She was driven to learn why and how the government, that is ideally suppose to be our service agents, came to the conclusion they could place themselves as an authority over us. Over this past 6 years she learned:
• the mechanisms used by the corrupt system to enslave us
• how we unknowingly consent to give up our freedom
• the steps to correct our status so to undo their presumptions
• various systems to administer and organize ourselves in self-governing (De Jure) communities where all living souls have a voice and are valued.
• that there has been a system developed that will eliminate our enslavement to a financial system of lack, placing into a system of abundance where each living soul is the value.
In learning all of this, Carol has come to the realization that she was divinely guided to this path. She is now inspired to bring this offering to all the amazing people of the world that we may unite under an umbrella of peace harmony and abundance for all.
Together we will discuss what we can agree on in the name of sovereignty instead of focusing on where we disagree.

My name is Anna Veldhoen. I am a mother, wife, christian, homesteader, herbalist, hunter, and homemaker. I have a passion for natural health and the outdoors.
In 2022 our family was struggling with severe health issues. After being offered “band-aid” solutions by the modern medical system, I was determined to find true healing. During that process, i discovered herbalism. It wasn’t long before I started to make my own herbal medicine and started to see the power of God’s wonderful creations.
I have devoted the last 3 years of my life to studying Botany, Nutrition, Gardening and Natural Medicine. I have invested a great amount of my time and resources into my education and the supplies I need to turn theory into practice, and I plan to continue growing my knowledge and understanding as well as my inventory. I am currently completing my master herbalism degree through the Christian Natural health network.
Join me on Saturday to discuss the wonders of botany and its benefit to human well being and longevity. The highlight of the evening will be learning which 5 herbs are a household staple and how they support us through acute conditions, common illness and mental health struggles.
Sunday, I will be hosting a women's circle to discuss herbal medicine specifically for women's health. Major topics will be endometriosis, PCOS and menopause as well as a deep dive into how women can use herbal medicine to support their bodies during each of the 4 phases of their menstrual cycle. Men are invited to join and learn how they can support their partners as well.

My first experience with welding was at about 17 years of age when I asked my dad what mig welding was. He went over to his old Acklands welder, flipped a switch, turned on the gas and said, “here you go this is a mig welder”. I pulled a trigger made some sparks and thought hey, I can do this. Next I asked him, “ok so what’s stick welding”? He flipped a switch on his transformer welder and said, “here you go”. So again I made some sparks and thought ya I can do this too. I was in grade 12 and was applying for a job at a welding shop and they asked me if I had any experience welding. I told them, “ya at the farm”. I just didn’t tell them how little experience, lol.
I took my 3 year apprenticeship through Red Deer college. I ran a portable truck for a guy for 5 years and was his foreman. Then I built my own portable welding shop on wheels - it was a bit like Optimus prime where I had a Suzuki Samari that I fitted a portable welder in and it drove up into the inside of my big rig. I had living quarters on the front and a 43 kilowatt generator in the middle with mig, tig, stick, plasma welders and cutting torches all in the back. The ramp unfolded to make a work station that had a canopy that came out to cover the back. I had a picker in the corner and an over head crane inside the back workshop. I’ve since come back home to run the farm repair shop and I’ve got more involved with farming and raising sheep. I’ve found my skill set of being able to build and design to be invaluable for building custom feeders or fixing my used equipment.

Why do some people get sick more than others? Have you ever noticed the correlation between emotional reactivity and illness? In this workshop we will talk about how our perception of our experiences will correlate to how ‘sick’ or ‘healthy’ we are, and how simple shifts can help us out of our recurring symptoms. This is more than food or environment, it’s about understanding our thought patterns.
